We Love Your Questions
At Agape Dental Studio, we believe that informed patients make the best decisions about their oral health. Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
What Insurance Do You Accept?
We accept most major dental insurance plans, including Delta Dental, MetLife, Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, and United Healthcare. Our front desk team is happy to verify your benefits before your appointment so there are no surprises. We also offer flexible payment options for patients without insurance.
Does Teeth Whitening Hurt?
Professional teeth whitening is generally comfortable for most patients. Some people experience temporary sensitivity during or after treatment, but this typically resolves within a day or two. We offer both in-office whitening for dramatic results in about an hour, and take-home kits for a more gradual approach. Dr. Tekle can recommend the best option based on your sensitivity level and goals.
How Often Should I Visit the Dentist?
For most patients, we recommend a check-up and professional cleaning every six months. However, some patients with gum disease or other conditions may benefit from more frequent visits. During your exam, we will create a personalized schedule that is right for your needs.
What Should I Do in a Dental Emergency?
If you experience a knocked-out tooth, severe toothache, broken tooth, or any other dental emergency, call our office right away. We reserve time in our schedule for urgent cases and will do our best to see you the same day. In the meantime, rinse gently with warm water, apply a cold compress to reduce swelling, and save any tooth fragments.
I Am Nervous About Going to the Dentist. Can You Help?
Absolutely. Dental anxiety is more common than you might think, and our team is experienced in helping nervous patients feel comfortable. We take a gentle, patient approach, explain every step before we do it, and always go at your pace. Your comfort is our priority.
Are Dental X-Rays Safe?
Yes. Modern digital X-rays use very low levels of radiation, significantly less than older film-based systems. We follow strict guidelines and only take X-rays when they are clinically necessary to diagnose and treat dental conditions that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

We are always happy to answer your questions, whether by phone, email, or in person. Do not hesitate to reach out to our team at Agape Dental Studio. We are here to help you feel confident about your dental care.
